I love to use dry beans in soups and this recipe called out to me! I prepared it in my crock pot and it was absolutely delicious! Thank you so very much for this inexpensive, nutritious, and delicious meal.

It really was good, Addie…thanks! It was pretty funny because as I was recently doing some research on okra and gumbo I came across a recipe that had beans…there were some VERY derogatory remarks to the originator like, “How very DARE you call this GUMBO! Gumbo has NO BEANS. EVER!” Hilarious. It inspired me to come up with this stew, though. P~
