Last year, I did a bunch of posts in anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day. This year, I thought I’d just compile them for you in one easy to reference post. It’s time to get your Irish on, so check out these recipes as you prepare your St. Patrick’s Day festivities!
The first recipe I will share with you again is Irish Stew. It is a wonderful, hearty, flavourful blend of lamb, potatoes, carrots, onions, herbs, and Guinness. It is pictured above, and here is the link for Irish Stew.
The second post is for Colcannon. This is a delicious blend of mashed potatoes and leeks and Kale, flavored with bacon. It’s amazing. Here is the link for Colcannon.
The third post is for Shepherd’s Pie…which, if made with another meat besides lamb is known as Cottage Pie. I was trying, with this post, to replicate a really delicious Shepherd’s Pie I had in London. I came pretty close. Here is the link for Shepherd’s Pie.
The final post is for Beer Bread, and in this case Herb Guinness Bread. This is a one bowl spoon bread that is so simple to make, even if you’ve never made bread before! No yeast, no kneading, no rising, just stir it up and bake. It is very adaptable to whatever flavours you’d like too; it makes an amazing sweet bread for breakfast. Here is the link for Herb Guinness Bread.

These are great recipes…. I’m lovin’ the photo of the Colcannon… Just pass me a spoon!
Thank you, Marcie! Boy, they are all good. But that Colcannon is deadly good. *passes spoon*
