Do you like Turtle candies? Chocolate and caramel are pretty awesome. “What could be better?” you ask? How about a salty/sweet combination? How about pretzels and Turtles combined? How about three ingredients? How about ready in mere minutes? Well, this is for you!
These Turtle Pretzel Bites are so simple! I mean it! Honestly, if you love these flavor elements, you really must make these! I just whipped up an entire baking sheet filled with them in less than twenty minutes. Most of that time was consumed with unwrapping those cursed cute little foils from the Rolo candies.
I fancied mine up with some dark chocolate sauce that I warmed in the microwave, poured into a decorator bottle and drizzled on top. Then! Then, I sprinkled them with a bit of flaked sea salt. These two steps are entirely optional.
Boy, howdy. Get goin’! Get thee to the market and buy the three ingredients: Waffle pretzels, Rolo candies and pecan halves. Do eet!
P~
- Waffle Pretzels
- Rolo candies
- Pecan halves
- Optional topping:
- Dark chocolate sauce
- Flaked sea salt
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange waffle pretzels on the parchment paper, leaving a bit of space between them.
- Top each pretzel with a Rolo candy.
- Place the baking sheet in the heated oven and bake for about 8 minutes. You want the Rolo candies to just be melting.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
- Place a pecan half on each Rolo, pressing the pecan down softly until the Rolo candy smushes so the pecan will stick.
- Optional topping:
- Heat some dark chocolate sauce in the microwave at medium heat level for 30 seconds.
- Pour the heated sauce into a decorating bottle, or using a fork, drizzle over the pecans
- Sprinkle on a bit of flaked sea salt.
- Allow to cool.

Still miss seeing you when we are in Townsend.
Love the recipe of Turtle Pretzel Bites. Would be a great Christmas goody.
Where did you find the waffle pretzels? Think everything would melt through the other kind of pretzel. thanks for the help.

Diane…I miss seeing you all, too! I’m pretty sure I got the waffle pretzels at Kroger. I used Snyder’s brand. P~
Thanks a bunch. Found them. I had been looking for a box in the cracker aisle, they are in a bag by the pretzels. I should have paid attention to what you said to use as the drizzle. Thought that I could heat some choc. chips and found up that they don’t melt, just get in a glob. Lesson learned. They look great and taste even better. Have a Blessed Christmas. I will be making your Christmas scones Christmas morning for Scott and family.

I’m thrilled you tried them, Diane. They really should not be that easy to make. It’s just too darned tempting!
Can’t wait to hear how you like the scones. P~
