Dark Chocolate Kahlua Truffles
The easiest truffles. EVER! And they are so rich and delicious too!
Recipe type: Candy
  • 8 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate (you could use semi-sweet chips - I used 85% cacao bars)
  • 1 tablespoon Kahlua (or any coffee liqueur, or vanilla, or strong coffee)
  • Colored sugars and jimmies
  1. In your food processor, or your mixer, cream the butter and sugar.
  2. In a small bowl, using medium heat in your microwave, melt the chocolate (my microwave took 2 minutes)
  3. Add the chocolate and the Kahlua to the butter, sugar mixture and mix well.
  4. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate until firm.
  5. Scoop and roll into balls (I used gloved hands so the chocolate didn't melt).
  6. Roll the balls into the candy jimmies.
  7. Refrigerate in an airtight container.

About P ~ The Saucy Southerner

I started cooking when I was ten years old. For me, the process of cooking, from inception of a dish, to the execution, to the washing of the pots is sheer delight. I am now retired from a business I still own, in partnership with my husband. I used to work six days a week and still cook every night. Now, I'm gardening, still cooking, always having fun and hoping to share my joy with you. Thank you for reading...and commenting! P~

These are so very good. We made them with the kids this evening for Valentine’s Day. <3 They are wonderful! So very rich. Makes a ton of candies. Next time I won't double.
