In Tribute to Julia Child – A Giveaway…

In her book, Julia’s Kitchen Wisdom: Essential Techniques and Recipes from a Lifetime of Cooking, Julia said: “Once you have mastered a technique, you barely have to look at a recipe again.”  This is so true! So, in honor of her 100th birthday celebration, I have a giveaway for you! Enter yourself in a drawing for the 50th Anniversary Edition of Mastering the Art of French Cooking!

It’s simple, just go “like” The Saucy Southerner on facebook! If you already follow me there, send a friend by “sharing” today’s quote of the day post (August 9th post) with your friends. If they “like” my facebook page and say you sent them, both of you will be entered to win the book.

I’ll be choosing the winner by random drawing on August 15, Julia’s Birthday. All new “likes” on The Saucy Southerner facebook page between now and midnight August 14 will be eligible for the drawing.

Go enter by “liking” my page (or sending a friend to like it)! And good luck on the drawing! P~

p.s.: Coming tonight… I made Julia’s recipe for Coq au Vin! Photos and some commentary from me later today. P~

About P ~ The Saucy Southerner

I started cooking when I was ten years old. For me, the process of cooking, from inception of a dish, to the execution, to the washing of the pots is sheer delight. I am now retired from a business I still own, in partnership with my husband. I used to work six days a week and still cook every night. Now, I'm gardening, still cooking, always having fun and hoping to share my joy with you. Thank you for reading...and commenting! P~
