Liebster Blog Award

“Liebster” is a German word meaning dearestbeloved or favorite.  The Liebster Award is given by bloggers to other bloggers – intended to showcase exceptional blogs. And, bust my buttons, The Saucy Southerner has been chosen as a recipient…

This Liebster Award is recognition to The Saucy Southerner from an extremely talented fiber artist and blogger, Vita Marie Lovett.  Her work has been featured in Studios, Southern Living, Quilting Arts and 500 Art Quilts.

While I didn’t know Vita Marie was even following my blog, I am honored by her kind words.  I’m even more thrilled she has been trying my recipes.  Please visit her blog through the above link; you will see her amazing work, photography and grace.  Her blog is much like she, a ray of sunshine.

As part of the recognition, I am to pass this award on to other beloved bloggers.

First on the blog roll, Alosha’s Kitchen.  Melissa is made of awesome.  Her enthusiasm for food is a wonder to behold.  I’ve followed Melissa now for years…and for good reason.  Her food is terrific!

Next up is Deda Notions.  “Deda” happens to be my oldest friend on the planet; it’s secondary that she is also a very talented soap maker. Her creative use of scents and her beautiful use of color are just phenomenal.  Her soaps can be purchased here.

Then, there’s The Dayton Time…while she’s on a hiatus at the moment from blogging, she is hysterically witty and, as well as being a very busy mom (who calls her children “the short people”), is the very talented owner of Revel Handmade Goodness.

Check out these sites by these amazing and wonderful women.

And thank you, again, to Vita Marie for the honor.

About P ~ The Saucy Southerner

I started cooking when I was ten years old. For me, the process of cooking, from inception of a dish, to the execution, to the washing of the pots is sheer delight. I am now retired from a business I still own, in partnership with my husband. I used to work six days a week and still cook every night. Now, I'm gardening, still cooking, always having fun and hoping to share my joy with you. Thank you for reading...and commenting! P~

As always, you are too kind! You know I think of you so much more as a friend than a fellow food blogger, but I am glad that we met on such passionate, happy common ground. Thanks, P. 🙂
